Richard L. Iandoli | Partner
Attorney Richard Iandoli has practiced U.S. immigration law since 1977. Among his many accomplishments, he has served as Past Chair of the New England Chapter, American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a member of AILA Executive Committee from 1992- 1997, and he is a past member of AILA National Board of Governors. Richard is a frequent lecturer on U.S. immigration matters, and has led presentations for the Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations, the National Lawyers Guild, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (nationally and locally), Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), Northeastern University, Boston University, Boston College and Harvard University Schools of Law, the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA). Throughout his career, Richard has served as a mentor for other attorneys through AILA and the Political Asylum Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project. He is also the author of numerous articles on U.S. immigration matters for AILA, MCLE and others.
Richard’s current bar admissions include the Massachusetts Bar, the Federal District Court of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He holds a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts (1969) and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts (1976).
Prasant D. Desai | Partner
Attorney Prasant Desai has practiced U.S. immigration law for three decades and focuses on business immigration matters. Prasant has lectured frequently on U.S. immigration law matters to a variety of professional associations, institutions and continuing legal education seminars. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is a Trustee of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. He is a former Council Member of the Boston Bar Association, having served as a member of its Executive Committee as well as a past co-chair of its Immigration Law Section.
Prasant’s current bar admissions include the Massachusetts Bar, the Federal District Court of Massachusetts, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from California State University in Long Beach California (1989) and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. (1992).
Prasant has been recognized as Lawyer of the Year for Immigration Law in Boston for 2023.
Madeline Choi Cronin | Partner
Attorney Madeline Cronin has practiced U.S. immigration law since 1994, concentrating primarily in business immigration. Madeline has presented on U.S. immigration law topics at continuing Legal Education seminars, educational institutions, and to professional associations. She serves as a board member of the Rian Immigrant Center.
Madeline’s current bar admissions include the California Bar, the California Supreme Court, and the Federal District Court of California. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts, Boston (1991) and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California (1994).
Outside of the office, Madeline enjoys spending time with her family as well as outdoor activities such as rowing and hiking.
Mary E. Walsh | Partner
Attorney Mary Walsh has practiced U.S. immigration law since 2006, and prior to attending law school Mary worked as an immigration paralegal in San Francisco and Cambridge for several years. Mary concentrates her practice in business and family-based immigration matters, with a specialization in obtaining visas and legal permanent resident status for research scholars, scientists, artists and athletes including O-1 Extraordinary Ability, EB-1A Extraordinary Ability, EB-1B Outstanding Professors and Researchers, and National Interest Waivers.
Mary is currently admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and the Federal District Court of Massachusetts, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Massachusetts Bar Association, and has served as Chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section in 2010-2011 and again in 2020-2021. Mary lectures frequently on immigration-related topics at a variety of education and research institutions in the Greater Boston area as well as for NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
Mary is currently admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York (2001) and a Juris Doctor with a concentration in International Law (with distinction) from Suffolk University Law School (2006).
Attorney Alison Howard-Yilmaz has practiced U.S. immigration law since 2017, concentrating in business immigration. Prior to and while attending law school, Alison worked with international students at area schools for nearly 15 years. Alison also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Central Asia. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Association of International Educators (NAFSA), and the Boston Bar Association.
Alison is currently admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in political science from Boston University (1998) and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, Massachusetts (2017), where she was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award recipient in Immigration Law. Alison participated in the Student Trial Advocacy Competition while at Massachusetts School of Law.
Alison enjoys travelling and spending time with her two children, Gabe and Sofia. She also enjoys cheering on the Patriots.
Erin Murphy
Attorney Erin Murphy joined Iandoli, Desai, and Cronin in 2021 and practices U.S. immigration law, concentrating in business immigration. She has experience in both nonimmigrant visas and immigrant visas for research scholars, scientists, medical doctors, and other professionals including O-1 Extraordinary Ability, EB-1A Extraordinary Ability, EB-1B Outstanding Professors and Researchers, National Interest Waivers, as well as PERM Labor Certifications.
Erin is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT and a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in Boston, MA. Erin worked full time during law school as a paralegal at a business immigration firm.
Erin enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family, as well as visiting museums and local historical sites around New England.
Megan Parker-Johnson
Attorney Megan Parker-Johnson has practiced U.S. immigration law since 2014 and has worked in the field of U.S. immigration law in various capacities since 2008. Her practice concentrates on family-based, humanitarian, and business immigration. Megan is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has previously served on the Boston Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section. She has lectured on U.S. immigration law at Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education seminars, as well as at various educational institutions. She serves as a volunteer attorney with the Rian Immigrant Center, where she also previously assisted with Rian’s immigration advocacy efforts.
Megan is currently admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She holds a Bachelor’s in History from Brown University and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
Megan loves to travel internationally, to spend time outside with friends and family, and to grill when it’s warm out. She’s recently been convinced to participate in triathlons, as well. Megan speaks Spanish and prior to becoming attorney, she lived in Ecuador for approximately 2.5 years teaching English as a Second Language and working as a paralegal at an Ecuadorian law firm.
Kathleen Micciche
Kathleen began her career in higher education administration before shifting focus to the immigration law field in 2001. Since then, she has supported Fortune 100 companies, universities, and non-profits in small boutique and global law firms. Kathleen is a graduate of Boston College (BA in English); Fitchburg State University (MAT in Teaching English); and New England Law Boston (2012).
As the daughter of a retired Russian history professor, she has a particular interest in the intersection of higher education and immigration. She has experience with non-immigrant and immigrant matters including temporary work visas and permanent residence applications. For several years she volunteered with the Dilley Pro Bono Project in Dilley, Texas, where she prepared women and children for asylum interviews. Her other volunteer experience includes the Boston Debate League and Project Citizenship. Kathleen has written on labor certifications for AILA National’s publication "Navigating the Fundamentals of Immigration Law" and for MCLE New England's Immigration Practice Manual.
In her spare time, Kathleen loves to travel with her husband and son. One of her favorite destinations is Costa Rica, where her husband’s family resides.
